what is SCIENCE?
"New Scientist" lists the world ten biggest ideas, and they are :
1. The big bang
2. Evolution
3. Quantum mechanics
4. The theory of everything
5. Risk
6. Chaos
7. Relativity
8. Climate change
9. Tectonics
10. Science
Most of them are easy to image, but I'm impressed by the last one "Science ".
As it said, " It's a powerful force for good, but beware: it's not the answer to everything" by Simon Blackburn.
The latter describes the three types of researchers, i think, which is very useful for future research.
"The men of experiment are like the ant, they only collect and use; the reasoners resemble spiders, who make cobwebs out of their own substance. But the bee takes the middle course, it gathers its material from the flowers of the garden and field, but transforms and digests it by a power of its own."
It is described by Francis Bacon at the dawn of the scientific revolution
